Joseph
bass
I started playing bass for my friends when I was in high school! My personal sound/genre would be rock groove because I grew up listening to my parents’ playlist that would range from 70s-90s music - a lot of jazz, groove, and punk rock influences my style. -
Aaron
vocalist
What’s good y’all, I’m Aaron! I started singing at a young age thanks to countless karaoke nights at my family’s parties. Luther Vandross, Frank Ocean, Michael Jackson, and Steve Perry have all had a major impact on me growing up and are responsible for how I’ve molded my personal style and my own artistic choices. Most of the music I listened to growing up consisted of R&B, Hip-Hop, Rock, OPM, and Tumblr/Youtube Filipino originals (Jeremy Passion, Gabe Bondoc, etc.). I am so grateful to be in The Band. It’s not only provided me with an uplifting environment to develop my passion with like-minded individuals, but it has also given me a social outlet to connect with a lot of fun, new, and interesting people. Hope to see you at one of our next shows!

sax
Wassup friends! My love for music started when I was a kid. My grandparents always had Elvis, Luther Vandross, and Earth, Wind & Fire playing around the house. I picked up the sax in 5th grade and kept it going through jazz band in high school. Now I’m hyped to be part of The BAND! Even though I’m the newest member, every practice feels like just kicking it with friends and vibing to music we all grew up listening to. I’m excited to keep growing musically, connect with other artists, and spread joy to the community. If I had to pick one food to eat for the rest of my life snickerdoodle cookies. When I’m not playing music, I’m probably hooping or hanging out with friends. -
JJ
guitar
What’s up guys! Wanted to give a quick shoutout to my Dad, he taught me guitar when I was 7 years old and has been rooting for me ever since. YouTube eventually became my teacher, and my playing style was influenced by Jussjef, Gabe Bondoc and Jeremy Passion. I’ve mainly performed with local artists but am super excited and grateful for this new chapter with the band. See y’all at the next show.

Cam
piano
My love for the piano started around the age of five. I had multiple family members who played the piano—grandparents, cousins, aunts and uncles—and they only inspired me to do the same. I started taking lessons in 2nd grade and music has been a huge part of my life ever since. Over the years my personal playing style has been influenced by jazz, R&B, hip-hop, and neo-soul, and the likes of artists such as Chick Corea, Herbie Hancock, and Stevie Wonder.

Patrick
drums
What’s up y’all! Music has always been a big part of my life. When I was a youngin, I would play on pots and pans with wooden spoons, so my grandpa bought me my first drum set when I was five. I grew up playing in church, and by 2019 I was gigging around the city with other local talent and got into music production. These experiences helped me discover my style and sound, along with the music I listened to—hip-hop, R&B, and jazz and artists like J Dilla, Robert Glasper, and Yussef Dayes (just to name a few). I’m blessed to be a part of the band, to be able to play with these talented musicians and share it with the community.

Kelsey
vocalist
Hey y’all, Kelsey here! I started singing at 4 years old in an Asian American performing arts group before joining my church choir, and eventually singing in community, high school, and college choirs. I grew up harmonizing with my mom - also a singer - who introduced me to jazz legends like Nat King Cole and Ella Fitzgerald, while my dad filled our home with The Bee Gees and Motown. By high school, I fell in love with R&B and the YouTube cover era (similar to my co-singer ACG) and started making covers with friends. Being part of a band has always been a dream, and I’m so grateful to be singing alongside such talented musicians and even better humans. Can’t wait for everything we’re building together!
